The coaches behind Athens Throwdown qualifiers WODs

The final design and selection of Athens Throwdown qualifiers WODs was made by two coaches with longtime experience: George Mellos and Giannis Rigas.

George Mellos, owner of CrossFit South Factory, is widely known to Athens Throwdown athletes as the event’s manager. At the age of 31, Giorgos is a physical education teacher and former rowing athlete. He has competed in a lot of CrossFit events, singling out for his technique, strength and endurance.

Giannis Rigas, owner of CrossFit Volos since 2009, is also a a physical education teacher and Level 2 Certified CrossFit Trainer. In addition to this, he is Eleiko Weightlifting Level 1 Coach, CrossFit Weightlifting Certified Trainer and CrossFit Endurance Certified Trainer.
Giannis has been Head Judge in 2 International CF Competitions and 3 National Events. He was also Supervising Coach and Program Designer of the “ARGO TEAM”.

• 3 Male Athletes have placed over 7 times in top 250place at CF Open -Europe Region.
