The first brave renegades to dare to race 140.6 miles did so in 1978 in Oahu, HI. Forty years later, athletes around the world participate in this sport and dream of their chance to race in Kona. To honor this tradition, we will provide 40 athletes the chance to compete in the 2018 IRONMAN World Championship. Eligible athletes who register for any 2018 IRONMAN® event globally by January 14, 2018, will be automatically entered for a chance to purchase one of 40 slots to compete at the 2018 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i!
