Looks like @huntthesheriff is coming into town this weekend. After laying low since Monterey earlier this year, will he take no prisoners and win the title? Let us know your thoughts below. #SpartanRaceWC17

Spartan, Tim Frame shows how he Eats The Bear: “I ran my first Spartan race in 2013 in the Vegas Super, and Loved it. But in May of 2014, I almost died from a viral infection my brain, and lost all my long term memories because of it. Then in August 2014, 3 months later, I almost died again, from a massive blood clot to my heart and lungs, due to complications from that virus. I lived through both miraculously, and worked hard to recover, and then ran my 2nd Spartan Race. It was brutal, as I wasn't ready yet, but it pushed me to work even harder, to hopefully regain the life I lost, along with all my memories.
Ever since then, I ran 6 Spartans in 2016, including the Tahoe World Championship Beast. I earned my Double TriFecta, on my 51st birthday, on Dec 10th of last year, at the LA Sprint. All done on a very painful bad hip, with severe bone degeneration, also due to complications from that virus. But I got it done ANYWAYS.
This year, I had that bad right hip surgically replaced in February, and expected not to race at all this year. But 2 weeks later, I still did the Arizona Sprint, Vegas Super, and Montana Beast all on crutches. I earned my 3rd Trifecta, since my illnesses, and I'm calling it my Crutch-Fecta.
Since then, I've even ran the Monterey Super and Boise Sprint, on that new hip, no crutches needed, and also tackled the Breckenridge Beast, to earn another Double TRIFECTA, this year too.

So, after almost dying twice in 2014, and losing all my long term memories, and then a hip replacement this year too, I'm still doing it ANYWAY, because that's my motto. And even doing it now, with a soon to be replaced, degenerative left shoulder, which is also a complication from that virus. It won't stop, but neither will I.

It's been an amazing journey, and very difficult at times, but Spartan race has truly saved my life all over again, for the 3rd time in the past 3 years.” “Some days you eat the bear, some days the bear eats you.” - Eat The Bear. Tell us how you eat the bear using #SpartanEatTheBear
