I have been riding in Kos a few years back...It was very very hot. I remember it was like having my head into an oven :| https://www.endomondo.com/users/3903040/workouts/363804492

:)

Guys, is any of you riding the new 27.5''+ wheels? I had the chance to test a new TREK FUEL EX 8 27.5 PLUS with 2.8'' tires.

Jesus H, fuck no...I hate it sooo much from the first second( the tires, not the bike). So difficult to handle, heavy, hard to push uphill, a lot of traction, cornering is difficult, jumping the same, in mud the tires are floating. Big wheels, a lot of inertia. If you want to jump, even a small drop is challenging, bike is nose diving all the time. Cornering is something very random, you want right, bike is going straight ahead(again inertia).

Did I mentioned 120euro for a fucking tire?????WTF?

Also, 1x11 transmission. another bullshit, going downhill with that, is idling pedaling, there is no force going to the wheel, you pedal, but nothing much is happening.

If you are thinking to go for 2.8'' or 3'' tires, DON'T, just DON"T...or 29'' with 3'' tires, a big DON'T

I personally think that 27,5 is a good choice but with the classic tire dimensions max 2.4 anything else requires some compromises more on the up hills and in mixed terrain conditions like mud , also bulky enough to carry spare stuff .

Yes, 27.5 + 2.4 is the best combo for me. And I think more than this is just too much.

After a long ride....Yamas !!!!! (beer) :)
